Before you check out for the holidays...

Before you check out for the holidays...

No, we're not asking for donations - just for a minute of your time. For our holiday wish. To ask you to hold the date for a January 20 action. And to share an opportunity to hear our co-founder interviewed on radio about "Protecting Democracy."

Here's our holiday wish for you, regardless of which (if any) holidays you're observing: Give yourself a break. Turn off the news. Stop scrolling. Go outside. Talk to friends about anything besides the political news. Take a deep breath. But before you go:

Hold the date: "WALKOUT FOR OUR FREEDOMS: On January 20 at 2 PM local time, we will walk out of work, school, and commerce because a Free America begins the moment we stop cooperating with fascism."

We do have some new things on the web site, including:

  • If you want inspiration at this time, go to our Looking More Deeply page and read/listen to Senator/Reverend Ralph Warnock as he discussed America’s “spiritual crisis” with students and faculty of Georgetown University’s Center on Faith and Justice. On the same page, scroll down for two fascinating perspectives from Chinese democracy activist Yaqiu Wang and Soviet-era defector and naturalized US citizen Martina Navratilova.
  • As always, our Hope! page has been entirely refreshed with new updates on people and institutions standing up to protect democracy.
