Vote for your sake. Vote for those who can’t vote.

Vote for your sake. Vote for those who can’t vote.

There’s nothing we can tell you that you don’t know about the threats to democracy. There’s nothing we can tell you about this regime that will inform you – or shock you – beyond what you already know. And some of the choices on the ballot may be far from perfect. Perfect isn't on the ballot this year. Democracy is.

All we can do now is remind you to vote early and make sure everyone you know, everywhere, does so too. Don’t just nod; look at your calendar and decide now when and how you’ll vote. And share this with everyone you know.

Here’s the list of when early voting starts (here in New Mexico, it’s October 6):

When does early voting start in my State?

They’re doing everything they can to keep us from voting, or to keep our votes from counting. Voting early in person is the best protection. Voting early by mail works too. Don’t count on voting at the last minute by mail; there are no guarantees your vote will be counted.

Remember, this isn’t just about you. There are a lot of people who should be able to vote this year, who want to vote this year, who can’t. They can’t because the ballot boxes have been removed. They can’t because their registrations have been silently lapsed or lost. They can’t because they’re afraid that ICE might be waiting around the polls to kidnap them or chase them or shoot them.

They can’t vote. You can. Do it.
